YPN Calls on President Kuffour

Former President J.A Kufour took time on Tuesday 31 July 2018 to meet with members of YPN (Young Professionals Network) at his residence when they paid a courtesy call on him.
The visit was multidimensional; to invite him as Patron of the organisation and to pledge support of the group during his 80th birthday celebration.
Kufour delivered an uplifting message at the meeting with members of YPN, an organization that attracts, develops and retains talent for impact in varied industries in Ghana and the youth wing of the NPP led by the newly elected National Youth Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye.
“It’s been amazing. I’ve occupied so many positions and visited so many places and seen so many people. The private sector has always been the powerhouse for development and it is only incentives that will drive progress. It definitely opened up my world, president Kufuor stated.
After accepting the Patron role at YPN, the former president had some words for the leaders of our country. “Our country does lip service with “empowering the youth”. It’s the young, teeming with talent and drive who will shape Ghana’s future, he added.
“It will be your responsibility, young people full of talent and imagination, to build the Ghana we all envision”, he told the gathering during the courtesy call.
Kufour also praised the work of YPN and the youth wing of the New Patriotic Party, saying that “our youth now show us what we’ve told them to do … that they are writing their own future.”
The president of the organisation, Mr. Stephen Asiedu took turn to thank the former president for accepting the patron role at YPN and wished him well in his pursuit, pledging the group’s support during the preparation and celebration of his 80th birthday and his 80 for 80 Project this year.
